BEDA Installment Thirty: Different than Usual, eh? How so?

A heads up: expect LOTS and LOTS of unnecessary captilzation today, MUCH more than usual. For some reason, today seems different. Even though BEDA isn't officially over (and it will NEVER be officially over, though technically, it will be...), I feel like things have changed. I feel like, post-BEDA, I have MORPHED into something different, even though I haven't changed much at all. I'm not going to say anything else sappy, but I must say this has all definitely been a positive (and UPLIFTING) e… Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty-Nine: Pre-birthday festivities, an expected apology, and then some

Hooray, hurrah, huzzah! It's my birthday! The actual celebration hasn't taken place yet, so I don't have much to say about it, but here is something I wrote today in Photography to give you some much-needed chitter-chatter. From yesterday: Now, bits and pieces from… Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty-Eight: Typing as fast as I can

I’m trying to type this as fast as I possibly can before the computer shuts off. I’ll scan and include the stuff I wrote during Photography if it works later but in the meantime this is all I can say. If more is added after this then that’s because it’s started working again. Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty-Seven: In which the weather contributes to an overabundance of homework

It was hot yesterday and the day before. I've mentioned that, many times, in fact. What I have not mentioned, however, is that this heat has had an unfortunate consquence on my school workload. It was inevitable, I suppose. Of course the teachers would want to add to the horrifyingly bad weather with a storm of work. I have received more work today than the whole of the work I have received for over a week of the recent past days. Not only did I get a large amount of math problems (never fun), b… Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty-Six: The day flew by like a wayward balloon

Today went by quick. I mean, technically it's not over yet, as it's 5:07 pm at this very moment, but still. It's practically over. I went to Costco and Target earlier, and in a little while I'll be going to the grocery store with my father. Other than that, I did knit a little bit, and I also watched most of the newest episode of Dollhouse, compliments of Hulu, which really is one of the greatest websites ever. Right now I'm eating dried mangoes, which are surprisingly good. Last light I fini… Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty-Five: What a nice day it is for boiling yourself in a pleasant environment

Today I did something I have done three times before. Out of guesses? I went to downtown Frederick. This is the fourth time altogether and the second time I've gone with Daniel (actually, the third time if you count the Break the Silence thing). There have been weather problems there in the past, as you may recall, when it was snowy and Rachel and I slipped numerous times. Today, the problem was just the opposite. The heat was what tried to bring us down. It is currently 92 degrees in Frederick… Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty-Four: If it's all the same, a new name, and a door frame

Firstly, just like the day before yesterday, I think it was, here is some handwritten goodness: http://i40.tinypic.com/34gnall.jpg Okay, so listen to this: three of the major bigwigs at my father's work suddenly up and left. The three of them are starting their own competitive company. IT'S EXACTLY LIKE ON THE OFFICE! It's CRAZY COINCIDENTAL. Today I reread the rest of Magical Th… Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty-Three: I'm pretty sure my left knee is plotting to kill me.

About a week ago, I noticed a small twinge on my left knee. By twinge, I mean a small amount of pain on it when leaned on. Each day, it slowly started hurting more, and now if I lean on it for even a moment, of even if I accidentally brush my hand across it, it hurts most dreadfully. I have been wondering why on earth this is happening, and eventually came to the conclusion that my left knee is, in fact, plotting to kill me. Naturally, if it suddenly killed me all at once, somebody would notice.… Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty-Two: A Snippet at School and the Middle of the Week

Firstly, let's start off with scanned notebook paper full of words! I wrote some of this post during Photography. You'll probably have to view the URL below each of them to be able to read it all. http://i39.tinypic.com/2n7gj2a.jpg http://i40.tinypic.com/i778nl.jpg I… Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty-One: But all I want's a life that's free

The above is a quote from a song that is in my Guitar book. I can't recall the name at the moment, but I quite liked the words in the third verse, as the above are from. My PreCalc grade went up two percent just recently, and that's before the quiz grade from today was added, a quiz that I'm sure I did fairly well on. Today is my sister Clara's fourteenth birthday. For eight days now, we will be one year apart rather than two. These days feel weird every year. I paused my viewing of M is for… Continue

BEDA Installment Twenty: They've got dogs with no noses!

The title is a quote from The Parting of the Ways, episode thirteen of season one of the newer version of Doctor Who. I am positively in love with this show. I watched two episodes today, Bad Wolf and The Parting of the Ways. Unfortunately, that means that I've watched all of the episodes of season one that are available on Netflix Instance Queue, which also means that I will soon be suffering from Doctor Who withdrawal, at least until the next episodes arrive in the mail. That could take a whil… Continue

BEDA Installment Nineteen: Earlier than Usual

Last night and this morning was the sleepover, the Alfred Hitchcock sleepover. It was great. Rachel arrived sometime between 6:45 and 7:00, and soon after we began the movie-watching. First off, we watched The Wicker Man, the 2006 version with Nicolas Cage. Rachel has been telling me how ridiculous it is, and so we thought we'd start the evening off with some humor. As I just found out, it turns out there's a 1973 cult classic Wicker Man, which is apparently much better. We may have to see that… Continue

BEDA Installment Eighteen: Possibly a Decoy

Rachel's coming over for the Alfred Hitchcock sleepover very soon, so I'm posting this now. I may add more to this post later if I have time, but I somewhat doubt it, as we'll be WATCHING MOVIES and doing other very FUN things. (capitals show my excitement for the situation) Question Eighteen: What are some fun things to do at sleepovers? Continue

BEDA Installment Seventeen: Mark and his Mustard-hating Girlfriend

Greetings, BEDA buddies, if any of the three of you are reading this! (My BEDA buddies are Allyson, Katie, and Sophie; don't they sound kind and endearing already?) Now, on to the bulk of this post. So my friend Rachel and I have this thing where we sort of make up something or base something on a single fact, then twist it into this long story/dialogue conversation. It's fantastically fun, and we do it on a pretty regular basis. Today this fun quick-thinking talent came into motion many, many… Continue

BEDA Installment Sixteen: Much Ado About Something

The title tells lies: I didn't actually do much of anything today. Of course, if I try and remember all of the miniscule little details (redundancy!) then I might be able to write a decent amount. Here it goes! [1]I woke up. It was approximately 5:45 am. I took a quick shower and then blow-dryed my bangs. Next, I dressed, in my purple pinstriped pants, striped green and navy shirt, and robot looking for love shirt. After that, I proceeded to put my shoes and socks on, then eat Apples & Cinn… Continue

BEDA Installment Fifteen: I just felt my cheek, and it was tremendously soft.

No, seriously. I don't know why, but my cheek is REALLY SOFT right now. It's NEVER been this soft before. Let's start this fantastic evening off with a quote. "The intelligent man finds almost everything ridiculous, the sensible man hardly anything." -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe I decided this morning that I would have a good day, and, by golly, I did! This is despite the fact that I now have a forty-nine percent in PreCalc, and also despite the fact that I didn't have my traditional breakfast… Continue

BEDA Installment Fourteen: Quick!

I'm trying to type this as fast as I possibly can before the computer shuts off. There's something wrong with it. I'll post more later if I can get it to work. Now, I'm trying to put up more, but if I stop midsentence you'll know why. Today I watched more Twilight Zone, an episode of House, etc., and now I might make some banana bread. --Added later Okay, I think it MIGHT be working now. I pretty much summed everything up above, but I'll search my brain anyway. On second thought, I think I… Continue

BEDA Installment Thirteen: Is that another one of those Nicholas Cage movies?

Today I went to the movies with my family, and, no, we didn't see Knowing, with Nicholas Cage, also known as "Knowing exactly what's going to happen even with a completely different plot." As I've spoken about with Rachel on numerous occasions, all of Nicholas Cage's movies are exactly alike, most of all his various characters. They're all sulky, with a dry, sarcastic in a trying-to-be-lovable sort of humor. So, what did I actually see? Monsters vs. Aliens, of course. In 3D!!! I must admit, it… Continue

BEDA Installment Twelve: Just in Case (that sounds like Justin Time!)

I'm writing a probably brief post right now, on the offchance that I don't have time to do it tonight, or some other reason for not posting. It is Easter, by the way. (Happy Easter, on the chance that you celebrate it!) So, I think for a second or two last night, it was snowing. I had the sudden urge to go outside, despite it being past 11 pm and nearing midnight, and so I did. I kept seeing little white flecks in the air, about twice every fifteen seconds, but nothing more. Hmm, any thoughts?… Continue

BEDA Installment Eleven: And one day, it'll sneak up on you and WHAM!

This is a picture of an Easter egg I dyed today. Easter egg dying is by no means a pasttime of mine, nor do I particularly enjoy it, but I felt obligate to do so, today, as the majority of my family was, and so I thought I'd make something out of it. Here is another egg I dyed, with Rachel's fantastically ingenious saying written on it in black colored pencil. There are many different… Continue
